This Extra Virgin Olive Oil contains Bioactive Polyphenols (Biophenols), such as hydroxytyrosol and its derivatives, above 250 mg/kg at origin. These bioactive olive oil polyphenols contribute to the protection of blood lipids from oxidative stress. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 20 g of this olive oil, which contain at least 5 mg of hydroxytyrosol and its derivatives.

This Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a natural source of vitamin E. Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress (20 g provide >15% of the RDA of 12 mg*).

This Extra Virgin Olive Oil is high in Unsaturated Fatty Acids (>70% of fatty acids, providing >20% of energy*), which contribute to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels.

FS-17 Favolosa monocultivar extra virgin olive oil, made from 100% Italian olives grown in our olive groves in Supersano, in the heart of Salento. Cold-extracted below 27 °C, it offers notes of freshly cut grass, green tomato and almond, complemented by a pleasant balance of bitterness and pungency.

Our nutraceutical selection, identifiable by its distinctive bottle neck tag, comes from a batch whose natural polyphenol content has been verified through laboratory analysis and meets the requirements for the authorised EU health claim: olive oil polyphenols contribute to the protection of blood lipids from oxidative stress. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 20 g of this olive oil, as part of a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
